More than half of the UK's top headhunters believe that women should not take a career break to have children if they want to secure a senior executive business position, The Independent reports today.
InterExec, which acts as an agent for senior executives earning more than £150,000 a year, said its survey of 100 headhunters showed that 53 per cent felt women penalised their career if they took time out. However, they said a similar career break by a man for any reasons would be equally damaging.
Perhaps this isn't the right headline to use then?
