Just when I thought it couldn't get any worse, a study comes along claiming that both men and women agree that men make better bosses! David Brown of UKJobs.net, which conducted the research among 3,000 employees, said: "Incredibly both men and women are in total agreement that men make better bosses - 63 per cent of women and 75 per cent of men comparatively". The surveyors seems pretty pleased by the fact that even women prefer male bosses.
As reported by the Telegraph, both male and female workers believe male bosses were less likely to get involved in office politics, were easier to 'reason' with and rarely suffered from 'mood swings'. A third of those polled claimed women in charge are 'loose cannons' - ready to stab colleagues in the back at any time, and who constantly feel threatened by other people in positions of authority.
I am wondering whether the survey questions looked something like this - How would you best describe your female boss: a) Missile on fire b) Loose cannon c) Rocket that never takes off d) Colossal mindless tank.
