"On the Farm: Robert William Pickton and the Tragic Story of Vancouver's Missing Women" by Stevie Cameron will be released this month. The book chronicles the stories of the few women who narrowly escaped Pickton as well as new reports by police officers.
Pickton, a former pig farmer, who is now serving a life sentence for the murders of six sex trade workers from the Vancouver downtown east side, is suspected of killing up to fifty women in total.
The book and the research it contains is re-fuelling concern over why these serial murders weren't stopped sooner in the face of evidence from police officers and women sex workers themselves who had filed complaints about the man.
