For the past 33 years, Jean Glindon's knitting needles have been clicking away to help raise £66,000 for charities helping children who are ill.
Now her dedication has earned her an unusual spin-off - Jean of Manchester has been named Britain's Number One Gran and her face will appear on thousands of cereal packets reports the Manchester Evening News.
The competition was organised by Shreddies cereal who use their own knitting nanas in their TV adverts.
Jean, 62, who has six children and 22 grandchildren started knitting hats for premature babies after her daughter was born early weighing just 3lbs. Since then she has also raised money through organising fun runs and charity pub nights.
