Rallies are being held around the world to highlight the case of an Iranian woman sentenced to death for alleged adultery.
Campaigners hope that the events will put Iran under pressure to release Sakineh Mohammadi Ashtiani, who was originally told she would be killed by stoning, the BBC reports. Her sentence has been put on hold following global condemnation, but remains in place.
After the trial of a man charged with murdering her husband, the 43-year-old mother of two was found guilty of adultery - a crime punishable by death.
Ashtiani has already received 99 lashes. She has been in jail in Iran's north-western city of Tabriz since 2005.
