Today, the Guardian reports that Sakineh Mohammadi Ashtiani, the Iranian woman who narrowly escaped death by stoning, has been forced to divulge the names of people campaigning for her relase.
The 43-year-old mother of two has been interrogated inside Tabriz prison about the names of the people who have been in touch with her family and the way her photo has been distributed among the media.
Her lawyer, Mohammad Mostafaei has been summoned by Iranian intelligence to 'clarify certain issues'.Her son, Sajad has also been summoned by Iranian intelligence twice in the last week and has been told to turn off his mobile phone and cut contact with the media.
Mohammad Mostafaei has released a statement saying, 'Sakineh has been acquitted of murdering her husband, and the execution by hanging has not been mentioned in her final official sentence.'
The Guardian reports that her case will be reviewed within the next 20 days but her fate is still very unclear.
