Philip Hollobone, MP for Kettering, has requested that women who wish to communicate with him but refuse to remove their face veil do so by letter or some other way.
The MP is also trying to introduce a Private Member's Bill to ban women wearing the burka or niqab in public.
His argument for not meeting with veiled constituents is that if a constituent is able to see his face he should be able to see theirs.
