Who on earth is Amol Rajan? Anyone heard of him? The reason I ask is because he has an outrageous piece in today's Independent raving about television shows "full of bossy women invading other people's lives".
The Founding "Queens" of the movement were, apparently, Trinny and Susannah (that is, once we'd got rid of Gillian McKeith) and have been followed by Jo Frost (Supernanny); How Clean is Your House (Aggie MacKenzie and Kim Woodburn);and Mary Queen of Shops (Mary Portas).
The worst of it is, he says (yes there's worse), that their shows are rubbish. When he worked in tele (ah, those must have been the days), they did things better then.
He accepts that there are men performing a similar role (he singles out Gok Wan and Gordon Ramsay) but he saves his vitriol for the women who, apparently are serving us up with "prole porn".
It has to be read to be believed.
